As part of the Sustainable Development Goals, a literary event “Zhyrlaidy zurek!” was held at the Department of Turkology and History countries of the East

As part of the Sustainable Development Goals, on February 18, 2025, the Department of Turkology and History countries of the East held a literary and musical event musical event “Zhyrlaidy Zhurek!” to the birthday of the Kazakh poet Mukagali Makataev.

The event was organized by senior teachers of the department: curators-advisers Nazarova Aiym Zhamizhanova, Zhanatayeva Kulzhan Bekenovna and Temenova Gulzada Kanatovna together with 2-3  years students.

The event was attended by the deputy head of the department for educational, methodological and educational work Khalel Agnur, the deputy head of the department for scientific and innovative activities and international relations Elnara Zilpikarovna Dulaeva, visiting professor of the department Savash Shahin, the teaching staff of the department, as well as undergraduates and students.

The hosts of the evening were 3rd year students Aruzhan Kadyrkhan and Mereke Zholymbek.  3rd year student Zhaniya Ilyas gave a video presentation about the life and work of the poet. 2nd year students read poems by the poet: D. Aitupov “Youth”, Zh. Sadvakasov “Three Happinesses”, B. Turganbay the famous poet “Let’s Talk about the Village”, K. Ushurov “My Love in the World”, and 3rd year students read poems “Hey, life”, “Dream that it would be like this”, “About life”, “Love yourself”.

3rd year student Ayazhan Kudaibergen played interesting games dedicated to the life and work of Mukagali Makataev.  The winners were awarded prizes.  At the end of the evening, guests spoke and shared their impressions of the evening.
