Visit to the Central Museum of Almaty (UN SDG №11 "Sustainable Cities and Communities")

On February 20, 2025, master's students from Baku State University and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, studying under the double-degree master's program "7M04212 – Maritime and Energy Law," visited the Central Museum of Almaty. The visit was organized within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) №11 "Sustainable Cities and Communities" and aimed at familiarizing students with the historical and cultural heritage of the region, its impact on urban development, and the importance of preserving cultural heritage for future generations.

The event was organized with the support of the Head of the Department of Customs, Financial, and Environmental Law, G.A. Kuanaliyeva, the coordinator of the double-degree master's program "7M04212 – Maritime and Energy Law," Professor G.T. Aigarinova, and the adviser G.K. Rasheva.

The excursion was attended by master's students from Baku State University: Amirli Aziza Ilham, Ibrahimzade Lala, Mammadova Sevda, Mirzayeva Sevinj, Tayarly Sinan, Huseynova Aynur, Huseynov Araz, as well as master's students from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University: Abilova Dinara, Nagmanov Nurlan.

During the tour, participants explored the museum's exhibitions, covering various stages of Kazakhstan's history and culture — from ancient civilizations to modern times. Special attention was paid to the issues of preserving historical monuments, the role of museums in shaping sustainable cities, and the importance of cultural diversity for the harmonious development of society.
