"Our Unity is Our Strength" - Ethnic Equality at the UNESCO Chair for Sustainable Development

A curator hour was held at the UNESCO Chair for Sustainable Development for 1st-year students of the "Ecology" educational program on the topic "Our Unity is Our Strength," dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. The initiative and organization of the event were carried out by the group curator, Kurbanova L.S. The meeting was conducted in the context of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) #10 – "Reduced Inequality."

The Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan plays an important role in strengthening equality and cooperation between different ethnic groups, contributing to the reduction of social inequality through respect for ethnic and cultural diversity. During the curator hour, the participants discussed how the peoples of Kazakhstan can preserve their cultural traditions while maintaining peaceful coexistence and equal rights.

Special attention was given to the significance of the Assembly as an institution that promotes harmony and stability in society. The unification of ethnic groups based on common values contributes to strengthening interethnic peace and harmony, as well as fostering social justice, legality, and integration.

The students were provided with information about the importance of national unity, intercultural interaction, and ethnic diversity in Kazakhstan. This event contributed to increasing their legal and social responsibility, as well as promoting quality education in the spirit of multinational harmony.

The event was an important contribution to the implementation of sustainable development goals in a multinational and multicultural society. The students expressed their readiness to contribute to strengthening national unity, respecting cultural diversity, and creating a harmonious future for Kazakhstan.
