Visiting the theatre to see "Karagoz" performance

On February 26, 2024,  the first-year students majoring in  6B01704 – "Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages" at  Department of Turkology and Language Theory of   the Faculty of Philology at  Al-Farabi Kazakh National University visited  Gabyt Musrepov State Academic Theater for Children and Youth. They saw   "Karagoz" theatre production   based on the tragedy by Mukhtar Auezov.

This visit was a particularly memorable and meaningful experience for the students. The play provided a deeper insight into Kazakh national culture, daily life, and human relationships. Through the theatrical performance,  the students learnt  about  ancient traditions and the unique national identity of the Kazakh people, offering them a fresh artistic perspective.

The  artistic quality of the play  and the acting professional mastery produced  a strong   impression on the audience. The emotional depth, stage movements, and dramatic intensity of the actors' performances deeply resonated with the students, making them feel like an integral part of the production.

This cultural experience not only allowed the students to appreciate the power of theater, but also strengthened their respect and love for their national cultural heritage.
