Open Day at the Faculty of Oriental Studies: Students Got Acquainted with the Department of Far Eastern Studies

On February 26, 2025, the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted an Open Day, offering a special opportunity for school and college students. They got acquainted with the faculty's academic process, scientific work, and delved deeper into the study of oriental studies.

As part of the Open Day, students visited the Department of Far Eastern Studies. This department provides a wide range of knowledge about the culture, history, languages, and literature of Korea and Japan. The students met with the faculty's teaching staff and learned interesting facts about the specificities of the Far Eastern countries and the research related to this region.

The department's professors and students presented the department's scientific directions, educational programs, and important aspects of mastering Far Eastern languages. Information was also provided about the department's cultural events, scientific projects, and international cooperation.

Additionally, information was shared about career opportunities for graduates of the Department of Far Eastern Studies and the possibility of studying at foreign universities under the academic mobility program at KazNU.

During the event, students and their parents had the chance to ask questions about the academic process, professions, and scientific directions of the Faculty of Oriental Studies.
