KazNU Students Visited Alliance Française Almaty

Students from the Faculty of International Relations at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University visited the Alliance Française Almaty cultural and educational center. Since its establishment in 2004, Alliance Française in Almaty has played a key role in developing cultural and educational ties between Kazakhstan and France, offering unique opportunities for language learning and cultural exchange.
Students majoring in International Relations, accompanied by their French language instructor, PhD in Philology Gulnar Okuskhanovna Mukhametkaliyeva, visited Alliance Française Almaty, where they were welcomed by the center’s director, Zhanna Yestauletova. During the meeting, students learned about studying in France, the center’s activities, educational programs, opportunities to learn French, and the DELF and DALF international exams.
Students showed particular interest in opportunities for education in France and other Francophone countries. Internships, scholarships, and exchange programs open up vast prospects for students studying international relations.
Alliance Française offers courses for all levels, from beginner to advanced. Students can choose between intensive, standard, or specialized French language courses. French cinema enthusiasts can enjoy regular film screenings, providing a great opportunity to explore French cinematography and hear authentic speech. The center also offers a rich collection of books, textbooks, and audio materials in French.
For those looking to improve their speaking skills, Alliance Française organizes conversation clubs where participants can interact with native speakers, discuss current topics, and enhance their communication skills in an informal setting.
This visit was a valuable experience for students, allowing them to deepen their knowledge of French culture and language while gaining inspiration for future academic and professional development.
