OPEN DOOR DAY HELD AT THE ORIENTAL STUDIES FACULTY

An Open Day was held at the Oriental Studies Faculty of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi. The event was attended by directors, class teachers and students of gymnasiums, lyceums, specialized lyceums and comprehensive schools of Almaty. In her opening remarks, the Dean of the Faculty Natalya Borisovna Em noted that thanks to career guidance work, future applicants can make the right choice of specialty.
Students visited each department and got acquainted with the centers of the country where the language is taught. The faculty teachers told the students in detail about the features of studying an oriental language and the employment prospects of graduates.
Students of the faculty, who studied oriental languages and visited abroad under the academic mobility program, shared the features and experience of the faculty. The students performed songs and dances in Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Turkish, Chinese, Japanese, Hindi and Korean languages, creating a wonderful atmosphere for the guests. During the meeting, the student activists of the faculty organized question and answer games and offered incentive prizes to the students who answered the questions correctly.
