Professors of the Department of Far East Honored with Special Awards

At Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a special cultural event was held to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan and the celebration of "March 1 – Gratitude Day." During this event, professors from the Department of Far East at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, who have dedicated many years of service and distinguished themselves with their scientific achievements, were honored.

Professor PhD Ninomiya Takashi from the University of Tsukuba was awarded the "Al-Farabi Gold" medal;Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Men Dmitry Volbonovich received the Honorary Certificate of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan;Candidate of Political Sciences, Associate Professor Chan Beng Sun was awarded the "For Distinguished Service" medal.

The Department of Far East plays an important role not only in training specialists of international level but also in strengthening ties between science and culture. Currently, the department is home to 4 professors from the Republic of Korea and 1 professor from Japan, all of whom significantly contribute to the development of academic and cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and the countries of the Far East.
