SDG-4: Librarians' Day celebrated

24 october, 2024

On October 24, the «Shabyt» creative youth club, established under the «Sunkar» student and undergraduate trade union, and the «Farab» readers' club organized a festive event dedicated to Librarians' Day.

The library, which is considered a golden treasure of spiritual culture, is a source of knowledge and civilization. And librarians are the ones who convey and propagate this value to the reader, building a golden bridge between the book and the reader. The main goal of this event is to clarify the role of librarians in society, show respect for their work, and contribute to the development of library work.

The event was attended by library employees, readers, and representatives of the cultural and educational spheres. During the event, the importance of librarians in society and their contribution to the development of education and culture were especially noted. The participants highly appreciated the selfless work of librarians and emphasized their spiritual and educational mission.

During the evening, the participants watched creative performances, and warm words of gratitude were addressed to librarians. In addition, an exchange of views was organized on the importance of librarianship and its role in forming a reading culture.

Librarians' Day is a common holiday not only for librarians, but also for all book lovers. Such events undoubtedly increase the importance of libraries in society and strengthen the connection between readers and books.
