SDG – 1-2: Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics held a charity fair of the «Komek» public foundation

On January 30, the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a charity fair that has become a good tradition. This event, based on kindness and compassion, was organized by the «Komek» public foundation of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics.

The fair lasted from morning until evening in the faculty building. Teachers, students and other well-wishers of the university actively participated in it. The main goal of the event was to provide the collected funds as financial or material assistance to low-income and disabled families.

Various handicrafts, sweets and delicacies cooked by students themselves, as well as books, paintings and souvenirs were on sale at the fair. Each product was filled with warmth, genuine compassion and care. People’s kindness and compassion for each other were especially evident on this day.

During the fair, students not only traded, but also had warm conversations with each other, working together towards a common goal. It was especially pleasing to see the responsibility and compassion shown by young people who were participating in such good initiatives for the first time.

At the end of the event, the organizers announced that the funds raised would be specially accounted for and directed to those in need.

This fair is a vivid example of charity, unity, and compassion. It once again proved how important it is to do good to the public. I am confident that such good initiatives will continue in the future, and the light of kindness and charity will continue to shine in our society!
