A Good Teacher is the Heart of the School

Modern society sets high requirements for the professional training of university graduates. Future philologists and teachers of Russian language and literature must not only acquire the necessary knowledge but also apply it in practice, developing their pedagogical skills and competencies.

During their teaching practice at School-Gymnasium No. 79 in Almaty, the 4th-year students of the Faculty of Philology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University had the opportunity to experience the role of a teacher, realize the importance of their profession, and test their knowledge in real-life conditions. They demonstrated a sincere passion for teaching, emotional involvement, and deep subject knowledge while skillfully using modern educational technologies.

The school administration, led by Principal R.A. Tsai, along with subject teachers, provided comprehensive support to the interns. The lessons were well-organized, conducted in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with students displaying articulate speech and an individualized approach to learners. The use of interactive methods, game-based elements, and creative tasks helped boost students’ motivation and interest in the subject.

Teaching practice not only helped students strengthen their professional skills but also allowed them to experience the joy of interacting with children and see their genuine enthusiasm—one of the most rewarding feelings for any teacher.
