HISTORICAL SITUATION AT MARGASK ZHYRAU

On March 7, 2025, within the framework of SDG 4: “Quality Education” Professor, Acting, Ph.D. Sarbasov Bolatkhan Sergazyuly held a round table discussion  on the topic: "Historical situation at Margask Zhyrau" for  the 3rd year students of  "6B02305 – Kazakh Philology" major at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The event aimed at   examining deeply  Tolgau Margaska, determining its place in the tradition of Zhyrau, analyzing the meaning and significance of Tolgau Margaska, instilling  national values in the youth.

The round table discussion  was held in the form of a competition which consisted of  four stages:  "Baige", "Doda", "Video question" and  "Who is a genius".  The students did  various tasks based on the research  by  Alkey Margulan and Mukhtar Auezov. They used   "Random map and SWOT  methods.  The first stage consisted in analyzing  the  excerpt from  Zhyrau .  The second stage was called    the "Dod" stage which included the  selection of  a cell on the Wordwall platform displayed on the screen. The third stage of the "Video Question"  the  tasks and questions   created by  artificial intelligence.  The set of questions and  tasks  offered to the  students during the video question on the work by  Margask Zhyrau touched upon  the  topical issues. During the event,  the works by the  researchers on the publication of Margas Zhyrau's work in the XIX-XX centuries were discussed in details. Considering the Zhyrau heritage in the context of the political situation and the socio-social historical situation of the XIV-XV centuries,  the main directions of its development, artistic nature, genre features were highlighted.

 The 1st-year PhD  students majoring in  "8D02304-Literary Studies" Muzhigova G. M. and Aidarbekova A. A. made a  great contribution to the work of the round table discussion.
