"The White Steamer” play is a profound and spiritual experience

On March 12, 2024, the first-year students of  6B01704 – "Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages" major  at the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University visited  Gabit Musrepov Kazakh State Academic Theatre for Children and Youth to see  a play based on tragedy The White Steamer by Chingiz Aitmatov .

This production produced  a deep impression on the students, enrouraging  them to reflect on the significance of moral values. The central theme of the story focuses on  the harmony between humans and nature, as well as the conflict between injustice and dreams which  resonated strongly with the audience. During the production,  the students highly appreciated the director's creative vision and the actors' skillful execution. The power of theatrical art made  them  rethink the literary work from a new perspective. This cultural visit broadened their worldview and enriched them spiritually.
