The Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism took part in a guest lecture at the Almaty Technological College as part of career guidance work

On March 12, 25, a guest lecture was held at the Almaty Technological College for students majoring in “Tourism” and “Hotel Business”, to which honored workers of the tourism industry were invited - Honored Worker of Tourism of the Republic of Kazakhstan, tour guide-methodologist Orazymbetova Bakhyt Kamalovna, General Director of the International Mountaineering Camp Khan-Tengri LLC Valiyev Kazbek Shakimovich and Head of the Department of Recreational geography and Tourism of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Barberie Ruslan Muratovich.

The guest meeting was dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Almaty Technological College and the Year of Working Professions. The guests spoke about modern trends in the tourism sector of Kazakhstan, features, professional competencies and advantages of the profession of a tour guide and tourism manager. An informative and fascinating story about the everyday life of workers in the tourism sector left no one indifferent. As part of the guest lecture, an informational video about the university, achievements and awards was shown, and career guidance work was carried out with college students.
