On March 7, 2025, a festive event dedicated to International Women's Day on March 8 was held at the Faculty of Geography and Natural Resource Management. Male senior lecturers and students of the faculty organized a celebration concert, expressing their heartfelt wishes and warm words, as well as showcasing their talents. This evening not only demonstrated respect for the precious and delicate women but also aligned with the fifth goal of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals — the principles of gender equality. During the event, Azamat Mukhitdinov, senior lecturer at the UNESCO Chair for Sustainable Development, performed the piece "Ak Zhaoin" by Seken Tүrysbekov. In addition, young faculty members Aaugambaev Kairat Kanatovich, Esbolgan Birzhan Nurzhanuly, and Kyrgyzbay Kudaibergen Talgatuly dedicated the song "Bärinen de sen suluu" to the women of our faculty.

March 8 is a special day that acknowledges the role, labor, and value of women in society. This holiday is not only about congratulating women but also provides an opportunity to focus on gender equality issues. The development of society begins with ensuring equal rights and opportunities for both women and men. Women contribute significantly to the development of various fields, such as education, science, healthcare, economics, and more. Therefore, their role in societal development is crucial. The event organized in honor of March 8 became an important step in celebrating the role of women in society and expanding their rights and opportunities. Respecting women's labor and unlocking their potential is one of the main tasks for the sustainable development of the country. Such events contribute to strengthening the principles of equal opportunities and justice in society, as well as fostering a positive attitude towards gender equality.
