INTERNATIONAL WINTER SCHOOL KAZNU FOR STUDENTS OF LEADING JAPANESE UNIVERSITIES

At the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, under the leadership of senior lecturers Borankulova S.K. and Nurelova A.M., a ceremonial opening of the winter school for students of Japanese universities who arrived in Almaty the day before from the land of the rising sun took place. The students arrived in Kazakhstan to study within the framework of the winter school program from 04.03.2025 to 28.03.2025 at the Faculty of Oriental Studies from the largest higher educational institutions of Japan - , the University of Tokyo, the University of Tsukuba, Sophia University and the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, etc. Let me remind you that now Japanese students will begin to undergo 3-week training with local teachers within the framework of the winter school program at the Faculty of Oriental Studies.

Japanese students will not only listen to lectures on the language, culture and history of our country, but also organize speaking clubs, cultural and educational events, round tables, student forums and competitions with students of the Japanese Studies Department.

 In addition, as part of the winter school program, it is planned for foreign students to travel with students of the department to the Central Museum of Almaty, the Koktobe recreation center, the Medeu skating rink, the Chimbulak ski resort and the Sharyn Gorge.
