Green Campus Initiative in Action: Cleanup Event at the Faculty of International Relations

The Faculty of International Relations at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University recently organized a cleanup event aimed at improving the faculty's premises. Students and faculty members came together for this initiative, showcasing their commitment to maintaining cleanliness and enhancing the environment.
Participants engaged in cleaning the area and beautifying green spaces, contributing to a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere within the faculty grounds. Such initiatives not only enhance the campus’ appearance but also strengthen team spirit and responsibility among students and staff.
This cleanup was part of the "Taza Qazaqstan" environmental campaign, under which KazNU is implementing the "Green Campus" project. The campaign includes the following activities:
- March 12–15: Internal cleaning activities in academic buildings and dormitories
- March 15: University-wide cleanup on the KazNU campus
- March 15: Cleaning of parks in Almaty city
- March 15: "Car-Free Day" campaign in honor of Bicycle Day
- March 16: Cleanup activities in KazNU dormitories
- March 26: "Earth Hour" campaign
The faculty administration expresses gratitude to all participants for their active involvement and contribution to fostering ecological culture. Plans are underway to make such events a regular practice to maintain cleanliness and improve the university environment.
