My Journey to China: New Horizons of Academic Mobility

I, Kuntuarova Ulbolsyn, am a third-year student at the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. During the 2024–2025 academic year, I am studying in Jining, China, as part of the academic mobility program.

From the very beginning of the semester, our university organized numerous cultural events for international students, allowing me to immerse myself in Chinese culture more deeply. Through calligraphy, tea ceremonies, and traditional Chinese crafts, I am not only improving my language skills but also gaining insight into China's history, cultural nuances, and values.

During this journey, I have made many Chinese friends and am actively developing communication skills, which are essential for my future career as a translator.

In just one semester, I have gained a unique experience, and I am confident that the next semester will bring even more opportunities for growth and self-development.
