My Year in China: An Unforgettable Experience and New Horizons

I, Duisenbai Moldir, a third-year student at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, consider my studies in China one of the most remarkable and unforgettable periods of my life. As a student at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, I spent a year in Jining, Shandong Province, gaining an invaluable experience.

This period not only allowed me to significantly improve my Chinese language skills but also helped me gain a deeper understanding of the country’s culture, traditions, and way of life. Thanks to the hospitality of local residents, the professionalism of the professors, and the support of my new friends, I felt comfortable and confident.

The academic program was intense, focusing on developing conversational skills as well as studying Chinese history, philosophy, and literature. However, this year was not only about learning—it also became an essential stage of my personal growth.

Jining has left warm memories in my heart, with its unique atmosphere, beautiful nature, and historical landmarks. This experience has broadened my horizons and inspired me to continue my journey in the field of Sinology.

I am immensely grateful for this unique opportunity, and I am sure that the knowledge and experiences I have gained will remain with me for a lifetime!
