SDG-4: Patriotic gathering “Youth of Kazakhstan – A Creator” was held at KazNU

In accordance with the instructions of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, a patriotic gathering “Youth of Kazakhstan – A Creator” was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University to explain the state support measures provided to young people.
The gathering, organized in a free format, was attended by leaders of youth organizations, foreign students, young scientists and volunteers who actively participate in public life.
In his speech, the Chairman of the Board - Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev paid special attention to the development of student science and noted that the state and the university always support young people. He also noted that the reputation of the educational institution is formed through inquisitive young people who strive for knowledge, and emphasized the importance of paying attention to scientific discoveries and innovative projects in an era of technological development.
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said: “We will be a country that is ahead of the rest. We will be a nation that both learns and teaches. "Young people are at the forefront of all changes. These changes are based on the concept of creating a Just Kazakhstan, ensuring "Law and Order", - he noted. I believe that our KazNU youth will also be creative and will be the initiators of new ideas and good deeds", - said the head of the university.
During the meeting, active young people and foreign students shared their thoughts and opinions.
Aigerim Yesimkhan, the winner of the presidential scholarship, the chairman of the youth wing of the organization "Zhastar Ruhi" spoke about his participation in the "New People" youth forum held in Astana and touched upon topical issues in society:
"The forum raised issues such as vandalism, dumping garbage in unauthorized places, selling alcohol to minors, and distributing drugs. The importance of ensuring the rule of "law and order" was discussed. In addition, the ideological essence of the "Clean Kazakhstan" environmental campaign was explained. I invite you to solve these issues together at today's meeting", - he said.
Foreign student Nasbolla Fayzi expressed her gratitude for studying at KazNU:
“Studying at Al-Farabi KazNU is a great honor for me. I want to improve my education here and serve the people faithfully as a qualified doctor in the future,” she said.
It should be noted that today about 4 thousand students from 54 countries are studying at KazNU.
At the end of the meeting, the rector noted the need for foreign students to actively participate in the life of the university and announced that support will be provided for the development of startup projects and creative initiatives of young scientists.
In addition, Zhanseit Tuimebayev presented a number of students who actively participated in public life and initiated good initiatives with letters of appreciation and university badges, and especially noted their work.
