SDG-16: Bank specialists explained the opportunities of the state savings program to students

On February 13, an important information meeting for students was held in our educational institution. Representatives of Otbasy Bank participated in this event and provided students with detailed information about the context and opportunities of the National Fund for Children project. The meeting was attended by students of the Faculty of Medicine and Public Health born in 2006-2007, who were introduced to the new financial opportunities offered by the project.
During the meeting, Otbasy Bank specialists explained the main goals of the National Fund for Children project, which will be launched in 2024. The project envisages opening special savings accounts for children and adolescents under the age of 18 in the country. The funds allocated from the National Fund each year will be used to support children's education, purchase of housing, medical services and other important needs.
The students who participated in the event not only received detailed information about the project, but also had the opportunity to improve their financial literacy. Many of them noted that this project is very important for future financial stability. At the meeting, students learned how to open a savings account, and bank representatives explained the procedure for opening a new account to students.
This informational meeting gave students the opportunity to plan their finances, effectively use the support provided by the state, and take a confident step towards their future. Such measures help to increase the financial literacy of young people and help them look to their future with confidence.
