SDG-16: A confident step into the future: An informational meeting with Otbasy Bank employees was held

On February 14, an important informational meeting for students was held at our university. Representatives of Otbasy Bank attended the event and provided students with a comprehensive explanation of the benefits and opportunities of the National Fund for Children project. Students of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics born in 2006-2007 attended the meeting and studied the financial opportunities offered within the framework of the project.
During the meeting, Otbasy Bank specialists explained the main goals and directions of the National Fund for Children project, which has been implemented since 2024. This initiative involves opening special savings accounts for children and adolescents under the age of 18 in the country. As part of the project, a certain amount of funds will be allocated from the National Fund annually, which will be used to finance children's education, housing, medical services and other important needs.
During the event, students not only received information about the project, but also had the opportunity to improve their financial literacy. Most students noted the importance of this project for future financial stability and understood how to open a savings account. Also, students who do not yet have a savings account were offered the opportunity to open a new account, and bank representatives fully explained the procedure for its registration.
This information meeting helped students develop financial planning skills, effectively use state support, and take confident steps towards the future. Such measures contribute to increasing the financial literacy of young people and their confidence in their future lives.
