On MARCH 18, 2025, the conference "Gender Equality in Education: Key practices in Kazakhstan" was held. The conference is organized by the Public Foundation for the Development of Civil Society with the financial support of UNESCO. The Executive Director of the Foundation, Candidate of Law R. Nauryzbayeva, made a welcoming speech. The purpose of this conference is to reveal the implementation of gender policy in Kazakhstan, identify problems in gender policy, and offer recommendations aimed at addressing these issues.
The conference was attended by university representatives, leading scientists, and school teachers from Almaty. The speakers at the conference touched upon all spheres of society.
The following recommendations have been developed.
1. Make extensive use of digitalization, Internet technologies, and social networks to create comfortable online platforms for open discussion of the most pressing issues of access to education for girls/women
2. Strengthen the regulatory framework and institutional mechanisms aimed at ensuring equal rights and opportunities in education.
3. Integration of gender education into curricula.
4. Provision of continuing education for professional development and professional retraining of women. To create conditions for combining work and study for single mothers, women who find themselves in a difficult life situation.
These recommendations are aimed at protecting women's rights, which is especially important in the modern period.
