​​​​​​​"Beginning of the Year - Az Nauryz!" festive event

On March 18, 2025, in the dormitory of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a festive event titled " Beginning of the Year - Az Nauryz" took place. The event was organized by first-year students of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology under the guidance of their advisors Arysambekova D.D., Munaitpasova A.N., Ospanova M.S., and Kazakbaeva T.M. This celebration symbolizes the renewal of nature, unity, and harmony.

The event was filled with national traditions and customs. The hosts highlighted the significance of Nauryz and extended warm wishes to the audience. Traditional Kazakh melodies (küy) were performed, and a theatrical scene featuring elders sharing their wisdom was presented. A traditional feast was set up, where the significance of Nauryz köje was explained.

Additionally, students performed national dances, showcasing the richness of Kazakh culture. Guests participated in traditional games like asyk, fully immersing themselves in the festive atmosphere. At the end of the event, winners were awarded prizes, and heartfelt wishes were shared with the audience.

This celebration was organized in full accordance with UN Sustainable Development Goal No. 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities. The event aimed to preserve national culture, promote traditions, and strengthen unity within the community, thereby honoring the spiritual values of the Kazakh people.

Thus, the "Beginning of the Year - Az Nauryz!" celebration became a special occasion that honored national traditions, culture, and the enthusiasm of students. May this Great Day bring prosperity, abundance, and happiness to every home!
