A leadership lecture on the topic:"Kazakh Literature and Traditional Islamic Values"

On March 19, 2025, within the framework of o implementing the religious-extremism prevention measures and SDG 4 "Quality education" the Department of Kazakh Literature and Theory of Literature organized a leadership lecture on the topic: "Kazakh Literature and Traditional Islamic Values. The lecture was delivered by Kydyr Toreali Edilbayevich, Director of the Islamic Research Institute of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan (SAMK), Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor and a member of the SAMK Council of Ulemas. The welcoming speech was made by the Head of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Theory of Literature, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Full Professor Alua Berikbaykyzy Temirbolat. She introduced the students, Master’s degree and PhD students to the lecture format and wished a success to the lecturer. The event was attended by the Department teaching staff, including Doctor of Philological Sciences, Full Professor Zufar Nursapovich Seitzhanov, PhD, Acting Associate Professor Gulnaz Rakhimovna Dautova, Senior Lecturer Shokan Amangeldiuly Shortanbay, senior lecturer Bakytkozha Baigozhaevich Bayazitov, and others.
During the lecture T.E. Kydyr spoke about Kazakh literature and traditional Islamic values, highlighting significant and scientifically grounded topics such as "The Pre-Islamic Period", "Islamization of the Kazakh Steppe", "Two Centuries or Three Centuries of Silence", "Classification of Islamic Literature", "Patterns and Genres in Islamic Literature" and others. He shared the results of his research and provided valuable insights. The undergraduates actively participated in the lecture, asking Toreali Edilbayevich various questions on the topic. The lecturer gave detailed and structured answers, contributing to a meaningful discussion and exchange of opinions.
PhD students who actively participated in organizing the event were the first year PhD student of "8D02310 – Innovative Literary Studies" major Myrzakul Baurzhan, the first year PhD students of "8D02304 – Literary Studies" major: Umbetayev Shyngys, Kenzhekozhayeva Alma, Toybazar Ayazhan, Serikzhanova Marzhan, Sabit Kerimshe and Muzhigova Gulnazira.
At the end of the event, Full Professor A.B. Temirbolat thanked Associate Professor T.E. Kydyr for a meaningful lecture having noted the relevance of the topic for modern society and the younger generation.
The lecture participants received valuable information based on concrete facts about the public figures who call for good, glorify morality, truth, patience and mercy, that is, propagandize the highest values of Islam through the artistic word, about the inseparable connection of scientific and spiritual knowledge.
