On March 20, 2025, associate professor of the Department of customs, finance and environmental law of the faculty of law of KazNU, candidate of law Amanzholov Zh. M. held a seminar on the topic "clean water and sanitation" within the framework of SDG 6 in Hostel No. 18. The seminar discussed issues of ensuring access to clean drinking water, economical use of water, waste water treatment and conservation of aquatic ecosystems. The lecturer commented on the causes and consequences of water scarcity, as well as water protection measures based on international experience. During the seminar, the issues of water management policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the role of international environmental agreements, The "Water Code" and improving water quality were considered. The participants exchanged views on the conservation of Water Resources, the impact of Agriculture and industry on water quality, and ways to reduce drinking water pollution. At the end of the event, proposals were made to restore reservoirs, strengthen the water treatment obligations of industry and promote water conservation measures.
