27 february, 2025

On February 27, 2025, at the Faculty of Philology, under the guidance of Associate Professor of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory, Doctor of Philology Gulzhan Zhambylovna Bolatova,  the first-year PhD student in Literary Studies, Dana Aidarkyzy Kaiynbay, conducted a demo  seminar for  the third-year students of the same major. The seminar was a  part of  "Comparative Literary Studies and Folkloristics" course  and was dedicated to the topic:  "Problems of Marginal Comparative Literary Studies." The seminar was organized within the framework of SDG 4 Quality Education. The main goal of the seminar was to help  the students gain a deeper understanding of marginal literature, its place and significance in comparative literary studies, and to encourage new perspectives through the analysis of marginal characters in literature. During the seminar, methods such as brainstorming, group work, and Q&A sessions were used, along with feedback collected via the Padlet online board. As a result,  the students developed a better understanding of the formation of marginal literature, its role and significance in comparative literary studies, and actively engaged in discussions. This seminar contributed to the development of students' critical thinking skills, improved their ability to interpret literary texts, and broadened their academic perspectives on marginal literature.
