What is stronger: a sword or a word?

On February 20, 2025, under the guidance of the senior lecturer of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory of the Philological Faculty G.Zh. Bolatov, within the framework of the SDG 4 "Quality Education",  the 1st year PhD  student Abdeldayeva Aidana held a demo  seminar on the topic:  "Dospambet is  zhyrau, commander, batyr" for the  3rd year students majoring in  "6B02305-Kazakh Philology".

The seminar was attended by the scientific supervisor, candidate of philological sciences, associate professor, acting professor Sarbasov B.S., candidate of philological sciences, senior lecturer Tleubayev S., Doctor  of Philological Sciences, senior lecturer G.Zh. Bolatova,  the 1st year PhD  Muzhigova Gulnazira, Sabit Kerimshe, Kainbay Dana, Serikzhanova Marzhan.

 At the organizational stage of the lesson, Abdeldayeva Aidana  consolidated the material of the previous lesson  and introduced them to the objectives of the demo seminar.  She  used the "dodoekadr" method to solve proverbs with pictures.  The students were divided into 2 groups.  Group 1 described Dospambet as "Dospambet-zhyrau", and Group 2 described him as "Dospambet-hero, commander". During this activity they proposed their arguments and had a discussion.

The lesson also included such activities as: "Lost Verse" (literary game), "Who is faster?" (Terminov game). Abdeldayeva Aidana   also employed  new technologies like  https://learningapps.org, https://wordwall.net/ru/myactivities.

At the end of the lesson the  students wrote about  the new knowledge they had gained during the seminar using the accompanying documents, and also did  psychological exercises with feedback. The seminar was held at a very high level. At the end of the lesson,  the students were given notebooks with images of five lions as an incentive.
