The Demo Lecture and the demo Seminar on the topic: "Riddles"

On February 26 2025, within the framework of SDG 4: Quality Education, the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory organized a demo lecture and seminar on the topic: "Riddles" on the discipline: "Kazakh Folk Oral Literature" The open lecture and seminar were conducted by A.M. Kenzhekozhayeva, a first-year doctoral student in the "8D02304 – Literary Studies" program, as part of her teaching practice, under the supervision of Doctor of Philology, Full Professor Z. Seitzhanov, and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory, Doctor of Philology G.Zh. Bolatova.
The purpose of the open lecture was to define the role of riddles as part of national heritage, explore their history of formation and development, study research approaches, identify their genre characteristics, typology, and ideological-content significance. The seminar aimed to develop students' creative and logical thinking by applying theoretical knowledge in practice, as well as to explain the genre characteristics, typology, ideological-content significance, and educational value of riddles in Kazakh folk oral literature.
The lecture and the seminar were held in various formats, including a traditional lecture, a lecture-presentation, and a lecture-discussion, which were effectively integrated. The seminar employed interactive methods such as Q&A sessions, creative and group work, and analytical exercises. The students actively participated in discussions. During the open lecture and seminar, new topics were explored, and students' questions were analyzed. The sessions were conducted at a high methodological level and fully met the set goals and objectives.
