«March 19 – Renewal Day»  advisory meeting

Today, March 19, marks Renewal Day. This day is an integral part of the Nauryz celebration and is widely observed across the country. In 2024, under the initiative of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the celebration of Nauryz took on a new meaning, emphasizing spiritual and cultural values. In this context, Renewal Day symbolizes the harmony between humans and nature, forgiveness, unity, and readiness for new beginnings.

During the advisory meeting, the advisor and students discussed the significance of Renewal Day. It was emphasized that this day is not only about the revival of nature but also about inner renewal, self-reflection, and embracing new opportunities. The discussion also covered Kazakh traditions related to this day, such as deep house cleaning, reconciliation between people, and setting new goals for the future.

Given the students' specialization in Geodesy and Cartography, the scientific importance of the spring equinox was also explored. The conversation highlighted how this natural phenomenon affects the climate, environment, and human activities.
