Research clubs at the Department of Far East

  Student participation in the work of the club is an organic part of the educational process at universities and attracting students to research work. There are two research clubs at the department - 1. "Zhas Galym" at the Department of Japanese Studies, 2. "Sen Side" at the Department of Korean Studies. The purpose of the research clubs is to form and develop interest in research work on the study of Korea and Japan in such areas as politics and economics, language and literature, history, culture and religion.

     From the beginning of the academic year, the composition of the participants of the clubs (bachelor's and master's degrees) is formed and the topics of scientific research are determined. Students test the results of their scientific research at the meetings of the club, then take part in conferences of young scientists (annual international scientific and theoretical conference of young scientists of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University "Farabi Alemi"), competitions of research (Republican competition of research, held by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan), the Republican inter-university Olympiad in Oriental Studies and others, where students annually receive high prizes.

     Also, members of the circle, together with the scientific leaders of the circles, selectively publish articles in such scientific journals as the KazNU Bulletin, the KazNPU Bulletin, recommended by the Committee for Control and Supervision of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

     As part of the work of the circles, the project: "Green Peace: Zhasyl Zhurek" was carried out. Bachelor of the Department of Far East - Ybysheva Dina, having studied the experience of Japan and South Korea in waste management, created an individual enterprise Zhasyl Zhurek, on the basis of which a startup was created: "Green Peace - Zhasyl Zhurek". The purpose of the created enterprise is to collect and recycle garbage (plastic and paper) to improve the environment and thereby make a real contribution to the innovative development of the country.

      The activities of the startup were highly appreciated at various competitions of national importance and received coverage in the media.
