Meeting of the "Zhas Galym" circle was held at the Far East Department

28 march, 2025

On March 27, the next meeting of the "Zhas Galym" circle was held at the Far East Department.

Two reports were heard at the meeting: "Archetypes in Japanese society" (speaker - Nurkaliev N. - 3rd year, "East") and "Workaholism within the framework of Japanese society" - (speaker Oramalova M. - 3rd year,  "East".

In his report, Nurkaliev N. revealed the key cultural archetypes that form Japanese society. The consistent interrelation of these archetypes creates a unique system of social behavior, where maintaining harmony (Wa) and avoiding conflict become the main values.

Oramalova M. considered workaholism as a significant social problem in Japan, which affects the health of the population and the economy of the country. High levels of stress and overwork lead to negative consequences, including karoshi.

The meeting participants actively asked questions, which sparked a discussion.
