On March 20, 2025, a discussion of Sustainable Development Goal #6 "Clean Water and Sanitation" was held with students of the GM 24-08 group of the Department of Fundamental Medicine of KazNU.
The topic of the discussion was ensuring access to clean water and its rational use. During the discussion, issues of personal hygiene, waste disposal, diseases transmitted through contaminated water, and methods of preventing such diseases were touched upon.
Since 1992, International Water Day has been celebrated annually on March 22. The purpose of the holiday is to draw the attention of humanity to the problems of the Earth's water resources.
The UN General Assembly resolution proposed that states hold events dedicated to the conservation and development of water resources on this day.
The event was organized and conducted by a teacher, Master of Natural Sciences S.R. Kulzhebayeva.
