
On March 26, 2025, the Department of Turkology and Language Theory at the Faculty of Philology hosted a demonstration seminar for the first-year students majoring in "Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages." The seminar was conducted by Akmaral Karymkhan, a lecturer at the department. The goal of the event was to develop students' speaking skills, listening comprehension, and communication abilities.
The lesson was organized within the framework of “Unit 9A: Total Recall.” At the beginning of the seminar, students watched a video introduction to help them grasp the main idea of the topic. This was followed by a detailed explanation of reported speech, after which students completed practical exercises. In the practical part, students engaged in a group activity in the format of production task – problem-solving scenarios, where they analyzed given situations and presented their solutions using posters.
The seminar was informative, interactive, and engaging. Students actively participated in discussions, enhancing their language skills through collaborative learning. Faculty members from the Department of Turkology and Language Theory attended the session and shared their feedback.
