The Al-Farabi KazNU Faculty of International Relations, Department of International Law team, consisting of Nurgalimova A., Bakytbekova M., Urazova A., Kirichenko Yu., Wang Xi, Liu Ciwei, Cui Junming, successfully passed the written qualifying round and earned the opportunity to participate in the finals of the XII International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition named after M.G. Rosenberg in Moscow!
And not only did they participate—they claimed 1st place!
In a fierce competition, our Chinese team surpassed some of the strongest opponents—VAVT, MGUA, SPbSU, SPbSEU, DVFU—proving that KazNU is a powerhouse!
Additional achievement: the team was also recognized as an award winner in the "Debutant" category! This is a testament to their immense potential, dedication, and professionalism.
This year, the competition featured 70 teams, including 60 from Russia and 10 from international universities. The International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court is not only an opportunity to showcase legal expertise but also a platform for developing analytical thinking, teamwork, and strategic case-solving skills. And our team brilliantly rose to the challenge!
Grand Prize: The winning team was awarded a certificate for an internship at the International Commercial Arbitration Court (ICAC) at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation – a unique opportunity to gain valuable practical experience in the field of international arbitration!
