SDG-4: A book reading competition was held at our educational institution

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University "Sunkar" students, the undergraduate trade union "FARAB" readers' club and the university library jointly organized a "Book Reading Competition" on March 19.
This competition was aimed at improving the knowledge of readers, developing their creative abilities, and increasing their love for books. In order to arouse the interest of participants, the competition was organized in three stages.
The first stage is an online test. Participants tested their knowledge and showed how much they had mastered the content of the work. At this stage, attentiveness and attentiveness to reading books were assessed.
The second stage is a speed quiz. Participants tried to quickly answer logical questions and earn points. This stage developed quick thinking and decision-making skills.
The third stage is the creative stage "If I were the author...". Participants continued the work with their own thoughts and showed their imagination by writing a unique essay. This stage was aimed at developing creative abilities, imagination, and literary taste.

The main goal of the book reading competition is to increase young people's interest in books and to understand the spiritual wealth of literature. The activity and enthusiasm of the readers proved the importance of the competition.
The winners were awarded with financial prizes and letters of appreciation. In addition, all participants were thanked and the importance of reading books was discussed.
Books are a source of knowledge, the basis of spiritual wealth. We believe that through such events, readers' love for books will increase and their interest in literature will increase.
