Methods for developing spatial data infrastructure to achieve SDGs

05.02.2025 at the Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics, a lecture was held for young scientists regarding the achievement of the SDGs. The lecture by Professor, Ph.D. Alibekov O.A. focused on methods for developing spatial data infrastructure. The topics discussed included the creation of a unified national infrastructure, the implementation of artificial intelligence and machine learning methods, improvements in satellite and ground monitoring, as well as the development of open data and digital platforms. These areas contribute to the efficient use of spatial data to achieve sustainable development goals.
Additionally, issues of spatial data management and legal regulation were addressed, along with the need to strengthen regional and international cooperation. The participants gained valuable knowledge about new methods and technologies for developing spatial data infrastructure and learned ways to optimize decision-making processes in this field.
