"Diagnosis and treatment of orphan diseases: Challenges and Achievements"

           On February 28, 2025, the Department of General Medical Practice held an International Student Conference on the topic "Diagnosis and treatment of orphan diseases: Challenges and achievements" at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The conference was held in a hybrid format, including offline participation and online streaming, which made it possible to attract a wide audience.

Young scientists, students, interns, residents, and PhD candidates from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan participated in the conference.
Leading medical universities were represented: S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, Astana Medical University, and Karaganda Medical University.

Participants presented reports and clinical cases, discussed modern methods of diagnosing and treating rare diseases, as well as new challenges in medical practice.

Such events contribute to the development of science and medicine, inspire future specialists to seek effective solutions, and raise public awareness of rare diseases.
