On April 1, 2025, senior lecturers from the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies, G.K. Dairabekova. And A.T. Alimbaeyva., held an event on the topic: “Ecological principles and technologies in sustainable urban planning: energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, green buildings, and landscaping” in Dormitory No. 17 for the third-year students majoring in 6B02303 - Foreign Philology (Western Languages) of ( SDG 11: Sustainable cities and human settlements).
The event discussed sustainable cities and communities that are based on environmentally, economically, and socially balanced development. In such areas, energy efficiency, conservation of natural resources, eco-friendly transportation systems, and green infrastructure are implemented to ensure a high quality of life for residents. Additionally, sustainable cities and communities aim to ensure social equality and security for citizens, creating a comfortable environment for all members of society. This development trend focuses on maintaining ecological balance, combating climate change, and providing quality living conditions for future generations.
