Kazakhstan Hosts First-Ever Forum on the Integration of Science, Business, and Industry

On April 2, 2025, the first-ever forum on the “Integration of Science, Business, and Industry” was held at Farabi Hub, the innovative center of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU). The event was organized by KazNU Rector Zh.K. Tuimebayev and attended by the Akim (Mayor) of Almaty, E.A. Dosaev.
Farabi Hub serves as a cutting-edge platform for intellectual dialogue, scientific breakthroughs, and educational initiatives. The forum addressed prospects for collaboration between science, business, and industry, as well as strategies for integrating scientific advancements into the national economy.
During the event, plans were announced to establish the largest technology park, innovation park, and artificial intelligence center among Kazakhstani universities, marking a significant step toward developing a science city at KazNU.
Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is the leading educational and research institution in Kazakhstan, home to over 29,000 students, including 4,185 international students from 55 countries. The university boasts a robust scientific infrastructure, featuring 8 research institutes, 140 laboratories, 34 research centers, and 2 shared-use laboratories.
A key component of KazNU’s scientific and expert activities is the Center for Forensic Examinations, which aims to strengthen the legal framework for expert activities, coordinate forensic-expert operations, and conduct scientific and innovative methodological research. The Center plays a crucial role in bridging science, education, and practice in forensic expertise.
The “Integration of Science, Business, and Industry” forum marked a significant milestone in the development of Kazakhstan’s scientific and innovation ecosystem, reinforcing KazNU’s status as a leading center for scientific research and technological advancement.
