Open lesson on the topic "The Role of Students in Youth Policy"

On April 2, 2025, an open lesson on the topic "The Role of Students in Youth Policy" was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with the participation of second-year students majoring in Geodesy and Cartography. The purpose of the event was to explain the essence of youth policy, increase students’ engagement in social life, and develop their civic awareness. During the lesson, the main directions of Kazakhstan’s youth policy, the rights and responsibilities of young people, and their role in socio-economic development were discussed.

Students were provided with information about university youth organizations, the volunteer movement, student self-governance structures, and entrepreneurial initiatives. It was emphasized that young people should not only focus on their education but also actively participate in social life. The open lesson was conducted in a discussion format, where participants shared their ideas on improving youth policy. According to them, students should actively engage in youth organizations and social projects, propose their own initiatives, and contribute to public affairs.

In conclusion, it was noted that the open lesson helped strengthen students' civic responsibility and develop their active social stance. Such events encourage youth to be more socially active and motivate them to participate in public life. It was suggested to hold regular meetings and discussions on youth policy issues, involve students in community activities, and promote the development of volunteer movements.
