Academic Mobility in Ankara: A Journey of Knowledge and Experience

My name is Assel Salimbay, and I am a third-year student at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. I was given a great opportunity—to study in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye, for one semester as part of the academic mobility program. This journey has been an important step in my professional and personal development, providing me with valuable knowledge and experience.
Studying in Ankara has been both exciting and rewarding. I am currently enrolled at Hacı Bayram Veli University, where professors are highly qualified specialists who provide strong support to students. The courses are engaging and informative, and the education system has unique aspects that make it even more interesting. Through my studies, I have deepened my understanding of the Turkic world, its history, and its culture.
I came to Ankara with the support of the Department of Turkology and Eastern Countries’ History at Al-Farabi KazNU. I am sincerely grateful to my professors and university for this opportunity. This experience has helped me shape my future plans and develop a global perspective.
Student life in Ankara is very dynamic. The university frequently hosts various conferences and academic events, allowing me to expand my knowledge and exchange experiences with students from different countries. Every day brings something new, and I am confident that the knowledge I gain here will be an invaluable asset for my future.
