Results of the Ecology subsection of the «FARABI ALEMI» conference – new achievements and prospects

The International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists «FARABI ALEMI» began its work at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in April 3, 2025. Within the framework of the Ecology section, the jury heard 20 reports. After each presentation, the participants were asked questions, which contributed to a lively discussion and exchange of opinions. The competition committee, having listened to and reviewed the reports of students and young scientists, decided to nominate the following participants for an award: 

1st place 

  • Madibekova A.A. – Plastic pollution of Lake Markakol. Supervisor: Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Senior Lecturer Ismukhanova L.T.

2nd place

  •  ⁠Kaliyeva A.N. – Problems of development of ecological volunteering in Kazakhstan. Supervisor: Candidate of Technical Sciences, Senior Lecturer Khamitova K.K. 
  • Koshoev I.M. – Caspian seal (Pusa caspica): a unique species on the verge of extinction. Supervisor: Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Senior Lecturer Minzhanova G.M. 

3rd place 

  • ⁠Burkit Zh. – Environmental impact assessment of the environment. Supervisor: Candidate of Biological Sciences, Orazbaev A. 
  • ⁠Baimukhanova A.M. – Air pollution from stationary sources in Mangistau region. Supervisor: Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Tazhibaeva T.L.
  • Kovalskaya N.E. – Assessment of the impact of the implementation of international ESG standards on the sustainable development of Kazakhstani companies. Supervisor: Candidate of Chemical Sciences, senior lecturer Minzhanova G.M.

The next stage of the conference will be held at the faculty level, where the winner of the section Madibekova Aisha will be able to present her research on a broader scientific platform. We wish further success to Aisha and all participants!
