"Gender Foundations of Personal Image in Modern Culture"

On April 3, 2025, a roundtable discussion on the topic:  "Gender Foundations of Personal Image in Modern Culture" was organized at the Faculty of Philology under the guidance of Senior Lecturer A.Қ. Sargeltaeva from the Department of "Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory" at Dormitory No. 17, as a  part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 5). The purpose of the event was to analyze the influence of gender characteristics on personal image in modern society, as well as to examine the social roles of men and women and their representation in culture.

The roundtable began with a video clip and a presentation prepared on the topic of the event. During the discussion, students presented reports on the following topics: "The Influence of Gender Stereotypes on Image Formation," "Gender Factors in Personal Image Formation in Various Spheres (Politics, Business, Art, Media)," and "Ways to Form a Positive Image by Promoting Gender Equality in Society." After each report, participants asked questions to the speakers and shared their opinions.

To stimulate open exchange of views on the topic, an intellectual debate was held, and a stage performance was presented, which helped participants better understand the gender foundations of modern personal image.

In conclusion, Senior Lecturer A.Қ. Sargeltaeva summarized the event, explaining how gender characteristics influence personal image in modern society and drawing conclusions on the discussed topic.
