“Kazakh National Games and SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being”
On April 4, 2025, the Faculty of Biology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a cultural and educational event on the topic: "Kazakh National Games and SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being."
The event aimed at promoting traditional Kazakh games and highlighting their contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3) Good Health and Well-being" Participants explored how these games not only enhance physical fitness but also support mental well-being, social interaction, and intergenerational continuity.
The program included a master class on the traditional intellectual game Toguz Kumalak, followed by a series of dynamic student presentations on games such as Kyz Kuu, Kokpar, Erkin Kures, Arkan Tartu, Sadak Atu, and others. Students shared insights into the history, rules, and modern significance of each game.
