Cleanup Event within the “Green Campus” Project

In the spring of 2025, as part of the “Green Campus” project, a cleanup event was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in accordance with Sustainable Development Goal 11 (Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable). The main goal of the event was to clean and beautify the university area and to promote environmental awareness and responsibility among students.

Third-year students of the “Natural and Technogenic Hazards” specialty from the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management actively participated in the cleanup. They cleaned the area around the academic buildings, collected leaves and trash, swept the grounds, and made a meaningful contribution to the environment. Special attention was also given to waste sorting and maintaining ecological order.

Photos taken during the event captured students working together, sweeping the outdoors, and contributing to cleanliness. This reflects their care for nature, team spirit, and commitment to the principles of sustainable development.
