«Science is the key to a sustainable future!»

Within the framework of the International Scientific Conference of students and young scientists "Farabi Alemi" 2025, at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, more than 30 works were presented for participation in the section "Digital Geoinformatics and Natural Risk Management in an Era of Technological Transformation". The conference was held in a hybrid format. Students and young scientists participating in the conference shared innovative solutions and scientific discoveries on digital Geoinformatics, prevention of natural disasters, mitigation of the impact of climate change.

The research of young scientists was directly related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

SDG 9 ("Industry, innovation and infrastructure") – providing new solutions using modern geoinformatics technologies.

SDG 11 ("Sustainable cities and Communities") – ensuring security using digital technologies.

SDG 13 ("Taking urgent action to combat climate change") – ways to adapt to natural disasters and climate change.

Conference winners:

1st place – Maulitova Shyryn;

2nd place - Ishpekbayeva Aiym, Shomytov Nurtileu;

3rd place - Slanbek Togzhan, Khakimzhan Akmaral, Zhasulan Akerke.

All participants defended their scientific work at the highest level and were awarded letters of thanks. This gives impetus to their future research and encourages new achievements in the field of science.
