A festive event dedicated to International Women's Day was held at KazNU

A festive event dedicated to March 8 – International Women's Day was organized at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event, held with great enthusiasm, took place at the Farabi HUB, an innovation center for innovative products and high-tech projects.
The event was opened by the Chairman of the Board – Rector of KazNU, Zhanseit Tuymebayev, who in his congratulatory speech particularly emphasized the role of women contributing to the development of the university and their special place in society, science, and education.
"Today, women work in production, sports, science, healthcare, and many other fields, raising the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism and respect for labor.
This year, several of our prominent women scholars, including Eleonora Suleimenova, Galiya Zhusupova, Sholpan Askarova, and Gulsim Suleimenova, are celebrating their 80th birthdays. These women scholars, who have linked their scientific and pedagogical careers with our beloved KazNU, have created a great educational school and continue to nurture their successors.
68.42% of KazNU's staff (3522 people) are women. Of these, 36.3% (1279), nearly half, are engaged in scientific activities.
Women are the source of warmth, love, and harmony in the world. May every day of yours be filled with joy, happiness, and kindness!" – wished the rector.
During the ceremony, a number of women professors, scholars, and staff members were awarded Honorary Certificates and Letters of Appreciation for their contribution to the development of the university and science.
In particular, Amankul Myrzalieva, the head of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, was awarded a Letter of Appreciation by Rector Zhanseit Tuymebayev.
Additionally, for her significant contribution to the development of KazNU and her outstanding achievements in science and higher education, technical staff member Akmaral Kozhekeeva was awarded the "FARABI" gold medal by the rector.
At the end of the event, women were presented with bouquets of flowers, and a concert program prepared by the male staff was presented.
This festive day brought joy and unforgettable impressions to all the women at KazNU.
