On April 14, 2025, at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, senior lecturers of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature Sayakhmet S.S. and Khairusheva E.E. together with the 1st-year students majoring in "Computational Sciences and Statistics" held an event on the topic: "The Importance of Gender Equality" within the framework of SDG 5 "Gender Inequality".
The main idea of the event was to discuss in which areas gender inequality manifests itself and what opportunities women currently have. The students prepared interesting reports on this topic. During the discussion, the students outlined their position on the importance of gender equality, including in Kazakhstan. The event ended with a discussion of all 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
