We invite you to an environmental campaign to restore the Sivers apple tree in Kazakhstan

Dear friends!

We invite you to take part in an ecological event aimed at popularizing the conservation and restoration of the unique Sivers apple tree in the Ile-Alatau State Natural Park as part of the ALMA-KIKA project.  Students of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences, environmentalists, volunteers, representatives of public organizations and all concerned citizens will take part in the action.

🌱 Why is this important?

The Sivers apple tree (Malus sieversii) is the oldest ancestor of all cultivated apple varieties and an integral part of the ecosystem of our region. Unfortunately, due to economic activity, deforestation and the irrational use of natural resources, its population is rapidly declining. By working together, we can change this situation!
